ফার্মাকোলজি
Oxymetazoline is a long-acting sympathomimetic that stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal lining. It constricts the small blood vessels, reduces swelling and improves drainage of the nose and sinuses for up to 12 hours.
Oxymetazoline একটি দীর্ঘস্থায়ী সিমপ্যাথোমিমেটিক, যা নাকের ঝিল্লির আলফা-অ্যাড্রেনার্জিক রিসেপ্টরকে উদ্দীপিত করে। এটি ক্ষুদ্র রক্তনালী সংকুচিত করে ফোলা কমায় এবং প্রায় ১২ ঘণ্টা পর্যন্ত নাক ও সাইনাসের নিষ্কাশন উন্নত করে।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
0.05% drops, adult and child 6 years and over: 2-3 drops in each nostril twice daily, morning and evening.
0.025% drops, child 2-5 years: 2-3 drops in each nostril twice daily, as directed by the physician.
Do not use for more than 7 days in a row.
0.05% ড্রপস, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ও ৬ বছর বা তার বেশি বয়সী শিশু: প্রতি নাসারন্ধ্রে ২-৩ ফোঁটা দিনে দুইবার, সকালে ও সন্ধ্যায়।
0.025% ড্রপস, শিশু ২-৫ বছর: প্রতি নাসারন্ধ্রে ২-৩ ফোঁটা দিনে দুইবার, চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী।
একটানা ৭ দিনের বেশি ব্যবহার করবেন না।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Stinging or burning in the nose, dryness of the nose and throat, sneezing and headache. Frequent or prolonged use causes rebound congestion.
নাকে জ্বালা বা চিনচিনে ভাব, নাক ও গলা শুষ্ক হওয়া, হাঁচি ও মাথাব্যথা। ঘন ঘন বা দীর্ঘদিন ব্যবহারে নাক বন্ধ ভাব আবার বেড়ে যায় (রিবাউন্ড কনজেশন)।
সতর্কতা
Use with caution in hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism and prostatic enlargement. Use in pregnancy and breast-feeding only on medical advice.
উচ্চ রক্তচাপ, হৃদরোগ, ডায়াবেটিস, হাইপারথাইরয়েডিজম ও প্রোস্টেট বৃদ্ধিতে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকালে কেবল চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে ব্যবহার্য।
যাদের জন্য নিষেধ
Hypersensitivity to oxymetazoline, angle-closure glaucoma, after surgery through the nose that exposes the membranes of the brain and use of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the previous 14 days.
Oxymetazoline-এর প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা, অ্যাঙ্গেল-ক্লোজার গ্লুকোমা, নাকের মধ্য দিয়ে মস্তিষ্কের আবরণ উন্মুক্ত করে এমন অস্ত্রোপচারের পর এবং পূর্ববর্তী ১৪ দিনের মধ্যে মনোঅ্যামিন অক্সিডেজ ইনহিবিটর সেবন।
সংরক্ষণ
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
