Pharmacology
Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It blocks the entry of calcium into vascular smooth muscle and heart muscle, relaxing the arteries and lowering blood pressure, and it improves oxygen supply to the heart. Its long half-life allows once-daily dosing.
Amlodipine একটি ডাইহাইড্রোপাইরিডিন শ্রেণির ক্যালসিয়াম চ্যানেল ব্লকার। এটি রক্তনালীর মসৃণ পেশি ও হৃদপেশিতে ক্যালসিয়ামের প্রবেশ বন্ধ করে ধমনী প্রসারিত করে, ফলে রক্তচাপ কমে এবং হৃদপিণ্ডে অক্সিজেন সরবরাহ বাড়ে। দীর্ঘ হাফ-লাইফের কারণে দিনে একবার সেবনই যথেষ্ট।
Dosage & Administration
1 tablet daily.
প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 5 mg দিনে একবার; প্রয়োজনে সর্বোচ্চ 10 mg দিনে একবার।
বয়স্ক রোগী বা যকৃতের সমস্যায়: শুরুতে 2.5 mg দিনে একবার।
খাবারের আগে বা পরে সেবন করা যায়।
Side Effects
Ankle swelling, flushing.
পায়ের গোড়ালি ফুলে যাওয়া (ইডিমা), মাথাব্যথা, মুখমণ্ডল লাল হওয়া, মাথা ঘোরা, বুক ধড়ফড় করা, ক্লান্তি, বমি বমি ভাব ও পেটব্যথা।
Precautions & Warnings
Use with caution in hepatic impairment, heart failure and severe aortic stenosis. Use in pregnancy and breast-feeding only if clearly needed.
যকৃতের সমস্যা, হার্ট ফেইলিউর ও তীব্র অ্যাওর্টিক স্টেনোসিসে সতর্কতার সাথে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকালে কেবল সুস্পষ্ট প্রয়োজন হলে ব্যবহার্য।
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to amlodipine or other dihydropyridines, cardiogenic shock, severe hypotension, unstable angina and significant aortic stenosis.
Amlodipine বা অন্য ডাইহাইড্রোপাইরিডিনের প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা, কার্ডিওজেনিক শক, তীব্র নিম্ন রক্তচাপ, আনস্টেবল অ্যানজাইনা এবং উল্লেখযোগ্য অ্যাওর্টিক স্টেনোসিস।
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
