ফার্মাকোলজি
Xylometazoline is a sympathomimetic that stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal lining. It constricts the blood vessels, reducing swelling and congestion within a few minutes, and the effect lasts for several hours.
Xylometazoline একটি সিমপ্যাথোমিমেটিক, যা নাকের ঝিল্লির আলফা-অ্যাড্রেনার্জিক রিসেপ্টরকে উদ্দীপিত করে। এটি রক্তনালী সংকুচিত করে কয়েক মিনিটের মধ্যে ফোলা ও নাক বন্ধ ভাব কমায় এবং প্রভাব কয়েক ঘণ্টা স্থায়ী হয়।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
0.1% drops, adult and child over 12 years: 2-3 drops in each nostril two to three times daily.
0.05% drops, child 2-12 years: 1-2 drops in each nostril once or twice daily, as directed by the physician.
Do not use for more than 7 days in a row.
0.1% ড্রপস, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ও ১২ বছরের বেশি বয়সী শিশু: প্রতি নাসারন্ধ্রে ২-৩ ফোঁটা দিনে দুই থেকে তিনবার।
0.05% ড্রপস, শিশু ২-১২ বছর: প্রতি নাসারন্ধ্রে ১-২ ফোঁটা দিনে একবার বা দুইবার, চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী।
একটানা ৭ দিনের বেশি ব্যবহার করবেন না।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Stinging or burning in the nose, dryness of the nasal lining, sneezing and headache. Prolonged use causes rebound congestion.
নাকে জ্বালা বা চিনচিনে ভাব, নাকের ঝিল্লি শুষ্ক হওয়া, হাঁচি ও মাথাব্যথা। দীর্ঘদিন ব্যবহারে নাক বন্ধ ভাব আবার বেড়ে যায় (রিবাউন্ড কনজেশন)।
সতর্কতা
Use with caution in hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism and prostatic enlargement. The 0.1% strength is not for children under 12 years. Use in pregnancy only on medical advice.
উচ্চ রক্তচাপ, হৃদরোগ, ডায়াবেটিস, হাইপারথাইরয়েডিজম ও প্রোস্টেট বৃদ্ধিতে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। 0.1% শক্তিমাত্রা ১২ বছরের কম বয়সী শিশুদের জন্য নয়। গর্ভাবস্থায় কেবল চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে ব্যবহার্য।
যাদের জন্য নিষেধ
Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline, after surgery through the nose that exposes the membranes of the brain, angle-closure glaucoma, dry or atrophic rhinitis and use of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the previous 14 days.
Xylometazoline-এর প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা, নাকের মধ্য দিয়ে মস্তিষ্কের আবরণ উন্মুক্ত করে এমন অস্ত্রোপচারের পর, অ্যাঙ্গেল-ক্লোজার গ্লুকোমা, শুষ্ক বা অ্যাট্রফিক রাইনাইটিস এবং পূর্ববর্তী ১৪ দিনের মধ্যে মনোঅ্যামিন অক্সিডেজ ইনহিবিটর সেবন।
সংরক্ষণ
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
