Pharmacology
Atorvastatin is a selective inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme of cholesterol synthesis in the liver. It increases hepatic LDL receptors, lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and modestly raising HDL cholesterol.
Atorvastatin যকৃতে কোলেস্টেরল তৈরির মূল এনজাইম HMG-CoA রিডাক্টেজকে নির্দিষ্টভাবে বাধা দেয়। এটি যকৃতে LDL রিসেপ্টরের সংখ্যা বাড়িয়ে LDL কোলেস্টেরল ও ট্রাইগ্লিসারাইড কমায় এবং HDL কোলেস্টেরল কিছুটা বাড়ায়।
Dosage & Administration
1 tablet at night.
প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 10-20 mg দিনে একবার; মাত্রার পরিসর 10-80 mg দিনে একবার, কমপক্ষে ৪ সপ্তাহ অন্তর মাত্রা সমন্বয় করতে হবে।
দিনের যেকোনো সময়, খাবারের আগে বা পরে সেবন করা যায়।
Side Effects
Muscle ache, liver enzyme rise.
পেশিতে ব্যথা, অস্থিসন্ধিতে ব্যথা, মাথাব্যথা, কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য, পেট ফাঁপা, বদহজম, বমি বমি ভাব এবং লিভার এনজাইম বৃদ্ধি। মায়োপ্যাথি ও র্যাবডোমায়োলাইসিস বিরল।
Precautions & Warnings
Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness at once. Check liver function before and during treatment. Use with caution with heavy alcohol intake and with interacting drugs such as clarithromycin, itraconazole and ciclosporin; avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice.
অকারণ পেশি ব্যথা, স্পর্শকাতরতা বা দুর্বলতা দেখা দিলে অবিলম্বে চিকিৎসককে জানান। চিকিৎসার আগে ও চলাকালে লিভারের কার্যকারিতা পরীক্ষা করতে হবে। অতিরিক্ত মদ্যপান এবং clarithromycin, itraconazole ও ciclosporin-এর মতো ওষুধের সাথে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন; বেশি পরিমাণে গ্রেপফ্রুট জুস পরিহার করুন।
Contraindications
Active liver disease or unexplained persistent rise in liver enzymes, pregnancy, breast-feeding and hypersensitivity to atorvastatin.
সক্রিয় যকৃতের রোগ বা অজানা কারণে লিভার এনজাইমের স্থায়ী বৃদ্ধি, গর্ভাবস্থা, স্তন্যদানকাল এবং Atorvastatin-এর প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা।
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
