Pharmacology
Etoricoxib is a selective cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. It reduces the prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation, with little effect on the COX-1 enzyme that protects the stomach lining.
Etoricoxib একটি সিলেক্টিভ সাইক্লো-অক্সিজিনেজ-২ (COX-2) ইনহিবিটর। এটি ব্যথা ও প্রদাহের জন্য দায়ী প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন কমায়, তবে পাকস্থলীর আবরণ রক্ষাকারী COX-1 এনজাইমের ওপর এর প্রভাব সামান্য।
Dosage & Administration
1 tablet daily.
অস্টিওআর্থ্রাইটিস: ৩০ থেকে ৬০ mg দিনে ১ বার।
রিউমাটয়েড আর্থ্রাইটিস ও অ্যানকাইলোজিং স্পন্ডিলাইটিস: ৬০ থেকে ৯০ mg দিনে ১ বার।
তীব্র গেঁটেবাত: ১২০ mg দিনে ১ বার, সর্বোচ্চ ৮ দিন।
দাঁতের অস্ত্রোপচার-পরবর্তী ব্যথা: ৯০ mg দিনে ১ বার, সর্বোচ্চ ৩ দিন।
১৬ বছরের কম বয়সীদের জন্য নির্দেশিত নয়।
Side Effects
Indigestion, swelling.
মাথা ঘোরা, মাথাব্যথা, বুক ধড়ফড় করা, রক্তচাপ বেড়ে যাওয়া, শরীরে পানি জমে পা ফুলে যাওয়া, বদহজম, পেট ব্যথা, বমি বমি ভাব এবং লিভার এনজাইম বেড়ে যাওয়া।
Precautions & Warnings
Monitor blood pressure during treatment. Use with caution in patients with risk factors for heart disease, fluid retention, kidney or liver impairment and a history of peptic ulcer. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
চিকিৎসা চলাকালে রক্তচাপ পর্যবেক্ষণ করতে হবে। হৃদরোগের ঝুঁকি, শরীরে পানি জমার প্রবণতা, কিডনি বা লিভারের সমস্যা ও পেপটিক আলসারের ইতিহাস থাকলে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। সবচেয়ে কম কার্যকর মাত্রায় ও স্বল্পতম সময়ের জন্য ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to etoricoxib, aspirin or other NSAIDs. Active peptic ulcer or gastro-intestinal bleeding. Ischaemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, heart failure or uncontrolled hypertension. Inflammatory bowel disease. Severe kidney or liver impairment. Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Etoricoxib, Aspirin বা অন্য NSAID-এর প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা। সক্রিয় পেপটিক আলসার বা পরিপাকতন্ত্রে রক্তক্ষরণ। ইস্কেমিক হৃদরোগ, প্রান্তীয় ধমনীর রোগ, মস্তিষ্কের রক্তনালীর রোগ, হার্ট ফেইলিউর বা অনিয়ন্ত্রিত উচ্চ রক্তচাপ। অন্ত্রের প্রদাহজনিত রোগ। কিডনি বা লিভারের তীব্র সমস্যা। গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকাল।
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
