Duodenal ulcer and benign gastric ulcer, prevention of relapse of duodenal ulcer, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and relief of heartburn and acid indigestion.
ডিওডেনাল আলসার ও বিনাইন গ্যাস্ট্রিক আলসার, ডিওডেনাল আলসারের পুনরাবৃত্তি প্রতিরোধ, গ্যাস্ট্রো-ইসোফেজিয়াল রিফ্লাক্স ডিজিজ, জোলিঞ্জার-এলিসন সিনড্রোম এবং বুক জ্বালা ও অ্যাসিডজনিত বদহজম উপশমে নির্দেশিত।
ফার্মাকোলজি
Famotidine competitively blocks histamine H2 receptors of the gastric parietal cell, reducing the volume and acid content of gastric secretion.
Famotidine পাকস্থলীর প্যারাইটাল কোষের হিস্টামিন H2 রিসেপ্টরকে প্রতিযোগিতামূলকভাবে বাধা দেয়, ফলে পাকস্থলীর রসের পরিমাণ ও অ্যাসিডের মাত্রা কমে।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Duodenal and gastric ulcer: 40 mg at night for 4 to 8 weeks; maintenance 20 mg at night.
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease: 20 to 40 mg twice daily for 6 to 12 weeks.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: initially 20 mg every 6 hours, adjusted according to response.
Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
ডিওডেনাল ও গ্যাস্ট্রিক আলসার: ৪০ mg রাতে ১ বার, ৪ থেকে ৮ সপ্তাহ; পুনরাবৃত্তি প্রতিরোধে ২০ mg রাতে ১ বার।
গ্যাস্ট্রো-ইসোফেজিয়াল রিফ্লাক্স ডিজিজ: ২০ থেকে ৪০ mg দিনে ২ বার, ৬ থেকে ১২ সপ্তাহ।
জোলিঞ্জার-এলিসন সিনড্রোম: শুরুতে ২০ mg প্রতি ৬ ঘণ্টা পর পর, পরে রোগীর সাড়া অনুযায়ী সমন্বয়।
কিডনির সমস্যায় মাত্রা কমাতে হবে।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Headache, dizziness, constipation and diarrhoea. Rarely dry mouth, nausea, skin rash and tiredness.
মাথাব্যথা, মাথা ঘোরা, কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য ও ডায়রিয়া। কদাচিৎ মুখ শুকিয়ে যাওয়া, বমি বমি ভাব, ত্বকে ফুসকুড়ি ও ক্লান্তি।
সতর্কতা
Exclude gastric malignancy before treatment when alarm symptoms are present. Reduce the dose in moderate to severe kidney impairment. Use in pregnancy and breast-feeding only if advised by the physician.
বিপজ্জনক উপসর্গ থাকলে চিকিৎসা শুরুর আগে পাকস্থলীর ক্যান্সার নেই তা নিশ্চিত হতে হবে। কিডনির মাঝারি থেকে তীব্র সমস্যায় মাত্রা কমাতে হবে। গর্ভাবস্থায় ও স্তন্যদানকালে শুধুমাত্র চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে ব্যবহার করুন।

Hypersensitivity to famotidine or other H2-receptor antagonists.
Famotidine বা অন্য H2-রিসেপ্টর অ্যান্টাগনিস্টের প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা।
সংরক্ষণ
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
