Oedema due to heart failure, liver disease or kidney disease.
Resistant hypertension.
Injection: when rapid diuresis is needed, as in acute pulmonary oedema.

ফার্মাকোলজি
Furosemide is a potent loop diuretic. It inhibits reabsorption of sodium, potassium and chloride in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, producing a rapid and marked increase in urine output.
Furosemide একটি শক্তিশালী লুপ ডাইইউরেটিক। এটি লুপ অব হেনলির আরোহী অংশে সোডিয়াম, পটাশিয়াম ও ক্লোরাইডের পুনঃশোষণ বন্ধ করে দ্রুত ও উল্লেখযোগ্য পরিমাণে প্রস্রাব বাড়ায়।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Oral, adult: 40 mg in the morning initially; maintenance 20-40 mg daily. In resistant oedema 80-120 mg daily.
Injection, adult: 20-50 mg by intramuscular or slow intravenous injection, repeated as needed under medical supervision.
Child: dose by body weight as directed by the physician.
মুখে, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: শুরুতে সকালে 40 mg; পরে দৈনিক 20-40 mg। চিকিৎসায় সহজে না কমা ইডিমায় দৈনিক 80-120 mg।
ইনজেকশন, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 20-50 mg মাংসপেশিতে বা ধীরে শিরাপথে, প্রয়োজনে চিকিৎসকের তত্ত্বাবধানে পুনরায়।

পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Low blood potassium and sodium, dehydration, low blood pressure, dizziness, raised uric acid (gout), raised blood sugar and muscle cramps. Ringing in the ears or deafness may occur with high doses.
রক্তে পটাশিয়াম ও সোডিয়াম কমে যাওয়া, পানিশূন্যতা, নিম্ন রক্তচাপ, মাথা ঘোরা, ইউরিক অ্যাসিড বৃদ্ধি (গাউট), রক্তে শর্করা বৃদ্ধি ও পেশিতে টান। উচ্চ মাত্রায় কানে শোঁ শোঁ শব্দ বা শ্রবণশক্তি হ্রাস হতে পারে।
সতর্কতা
Monitor electrolytes, kidney function and fluid balance. Use with caution in diabetes, gout, prostatic enlargement, hepatic impairment and with digoxin, aminoglycosides or NSAIDs.
ইলেকট্রোলাইট, কিডনির কার্যকারিতা ও শরীরের তরলের ভারসাম্য পর্যবেক্ষণ করতে হবে। ডায়াবেটিস, গাউট, প্রোস্টেট বৃদ্ধি, যকৃতের সমস্যা এবং digoxin, অ্যামাইনোগ্লাইকোসাইড বা NSAID-এর সাথে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন।

Anuria, severe low blood potassium or sodium, severe dehydration, coma associated with liver cirrhosis, kidney failure caused by nephrotoxic or hepatotoxic drugs and hypersensitivity to furosemide or sulfonamides.
অ্যানিউরিয়া, রক্তে পটাশিয়াম বা সোডিয়ামের তীব্র ঘাটতি, তীব্র পানিশূন্যতা, লিভার সিরোসিসজনিত কোমা, কিডনি বা যকৃতের জন্য ক্ষতিকর ওষুধজনিত কিডনি বিকলতা এবং Furosemide বা সালফোনামাইডের প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা।

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°সে. তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
