Pharmacology
Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). By blocking the AT1 receptor it prevents the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-releasing effects of angiotensin II, so blood vessels relax and blood pressure falls. It does not usually cause the dry cough seen with ACE inhibitors.
Losartan একটি অ্যানজিওটেনসিন II রিসেপ্টর ব্লকার (ARB)। এটি AT1 রিসেপ্টর বন্ধ করে অ্যানজিওটেনসিন II-এর রক্তনালী সংকোচন ও অ্যালডোস্টেরন নিঃসরণের প্রভাব প্রতিরোধ করে, ফলে রক্তনালী প্রসারিত হয় ও রক্তচাপ কমে। ACE ইনহিবিটরের মতো শুষ্ক কাশি সাধারণত হয় না।
Dosage & Administration
1 tablet daily.
প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 50 mg দিনে একবার; প্রয়োজনে 100 mg দিনে একবার পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো যায়।
৭৫ বছরের বেশি বয়স, পানিশূন্যতা বা যকৃতের সমস্যায়: শুরুতে 25 mg দিনে একবার।
হার্ট ফেইলিউর: শুরুতে 12.5 mg দিনে একবার, পরে ধীরে ধীরে বাড়াতে হবে।
খাবারের আগে বা পরে সেবন করা যায়।
Side Effects
Dizziness, low blood pressure.
মাথা ঘোরা, নিম্ন রক্তচাপ, ক্লান্তি, রক্তে পটাশিয়াম বেড়ে যাওয়া এবং কিডনির কার্যকারিতার পরিবর্তন। অ্যানজিওইডিমা বিরল।
Precautions & Warnings
Monitor kidney function and serum potassium, especially in renal impairment, renal artery stenosis, heart failure and the elderly. Avoid potassium supplements and potassium-sparing diuretics unless advised. Not recommended during breast-feeding.
কিডনির সমস্যা, রেনাল আর্টারি স্টেনোসিস, হার্ট ফেইলিউর ও বয়স্ক রোগীদের ক্ষেত্রে কিডনির কার্যকারিতা ও রক্তের পটাশিয়াম নিয়মিত পরীক্ষা করতে হবে। চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ ছাড়া পটাশিয়াম সাপ্লিমেন্ট বা পটাশিয়াম-সংরক্ষণকারী ডাইইউরেটিক ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়। স্তন্যদানকালে সুপারিশকৃত নয়।
Contraindications
Pregnancy, hypersensitivity to losartan, severe hepatic impairment, and use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes or renal impairment.
গর্ভাবস্থা, Losartan-এর প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতা, যকৃতের তীব্র সমস্যা এবং ডায়াবেটিস বা কিডনির সমস্যাযুক্ত রোগীতে aliskiren-এর সাথে একত্রে ব্যবহার।
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
