Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, as an adjunct to diet and exercise, alone when metformin is unsuitable or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs including insulin.

ফার্মাকোলজি
Linagliptin inhibits the enzyme DPP-4, raising the levels of the incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP. This increases insulin release and lowers glucagon release in a glucose-dependent way. It is eliminated mainly through the bile, not the kidneys.
Linagliptin DPP-4 এনজাইমকে বাধা দিয়ে ইনক্রেটিন হরমোন GLP-1 ও GIP-এর মাত্রা বাড়ায়। ফলে রক্তের গ্লুকোজের মাত্রা অনুযায়ী ইনসুলিন নিঃসরণ বাড়ে ও গ্লুকাগন নিঃসরণ কমে। এটি প্রধানত পিত্তের মাধ্যমে নিষ্কাশিত হয়, কিডনির মাধ্যমে নয়।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Adult: 5 mg once daily, at any time of day, with or without food.
No dose adjustment is needed in renal or hepatic impairment.
প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: 5 mg দিনে একবার, দিনের যেকোনো সময়, খাবারের আগে বা পরে।
কিডনি বা যকৃতের সমস্যায় মাত্রা পরিবর্তনের প্রয়োজন নেই।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Nasopharyngitis, cough and hypoglycaemia when combined with a sulfonylurea or insulin. Pancreatitis, rash and blistering skin reaction (bullous pemphigoid) are rare.
ন্যাসোফ্যারিঞ্জাইটিস, কাশি এবং সালফোনাইলইউরিয়া বা ইনসুলিনের সাথে ব্যবহারে হাইপোগ্লাইসেমিয়া। প্যানক্রিয়াটাইটিস, র্যাশ ও ফোসকাযুক্ত ত্বকের প্রতিক্রিয়া (বুলাস পেমফিগয়েড) বিরল।
সতর্কতা
Stop the drug and seek medical advice if severe persistent abdominal pain occurs. The dose of a sulfonylurea or insulin may need to be reduced. Use in pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.
তীব্র ও স্থায়ী পেটব্যথা হলে ওষুধ বন্ধ করে চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নিন। সালফোনাইলইউরিয়া বা ইনসুলিনের মাত্রা কমানোর প্রয়োজন হতে পারে। গর্ভাবস্থা ও স্তন্যদানকালে সুপারিশকৃত নয়।

Hypersensitivity to linagliptin, type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

সংরক্ষণ
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
