ফার্মাকোলজি
Potassium citrate is metabolised to bicarbonate, which raises the pH of the urine. It also increases urinary citrate, which binds calcium and inhibits the formation of crystals and stones.
পটাসিয়াম সাইট্রেট শরীরে বিপাক হয়ে বাইকার্বনেটে পরিণত হয়, যা প্রস্রাবের pH বাড়ায়। এটি প্রস্রাবে সাইট্রেটের পরিমাণও বাড়ায়, যা ক্যালসিয়ামের সাথে যুক্ত হয়ে স্ফটিক ও পাথর তৈরি রোধ করে।
মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Extended-release tablet (1080 mg, equal to 10 mEq): Adult: 1 to 2 tablets 3 times daily with meals, as directed by the physician; maximum 100 mEq daily. Swallow whole.
Oral solution: Adult: 10 ml 3 times daily, well diluted with water, after meals, or as directed by the physician.
Child: as directed by the physician.
এক্সটেন্ডেড রিলিজ ট্যাবলেট (১০৮০ mg, যা ১০ mEq-এর সমান): প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: ১ থেকে ২টি ট্যাবলেট দিনে ৩ বার খাবারের সাথে, চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী; দৈনিক সর্বোচ্চ ১০০ mEq। আস্ত গিলে খেতে হবে।
ওরাল সলিউশন: প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: ১০ ml দিনে ৩ বার, পর্যাপ্ত পানিতে মিশিয়ে খাবারের পর, অথবা চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী।
শিশু: চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী।
পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort and diarrhoea; raised blood potassium, particularly in renal impairment.
বমি বমি ভাব, বমি, পেটে অস্বস্তি ও ডায়রিয়া; রক্তে পটাসিয়াম বেড়ে যাওয়া, বিশেষত কিডনির কার্যক্ষমতা হ্রাস পেলে।
সতর্কতা
Blood potassium and kidney function should be monitored. Use with caution in heart disease and with ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers and potassium-sparing diuretics. Take with plenty of fluid.
রক্তের পটাসিয়াম ও কিডনির কার্যকারিতা পরীক্ষা করা উচিত। হৃদরোগ এবং এসিই ইনহিবিটর, অ্যানজিওটেনসিন রিসেপ্টর ব্লকার ও পটাসিয়াম-সংরক্ষণকারী ডাইইউরেটিকের সাথে সতর্কতা প্রয়োজন। পর্যাপ্ত পানির সাথে সেবন করতে হবে।
যাদের জন্য নিষেধ
Raised blood potassium, severe renal impairment, untreated Addison's disease, and (for tablets) peptic ulcer, obstruction of the gut or delayed emptying of the stomach.
রক্তে পটাসিয়ামের আধিক্য, কিডনির তীব্র সমস্যা, চিকিৎসাবিহীন অ্যাডিসন্স রোগ এবং (ট্যাবলেটের ক্ষেত্রে) পেপটিক আলসার, অন্ত্রে প্রতিবন্ধকতা বা পাকস্থলী খালি হতে দেরি হওয়া।

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
৩০°C তাপমাত্রার নিচে, আলো থেকে দূরে, ঠান্ডা ও শুষ্ক স্থানে রাখুন। শিশুদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
